Geoffrey Lafarge won the first Continental Cup competition in Predazzo (ITA). The French came in ahead of Norwegian Ole Martin Storlien and Tobias Kammerlander of Austria.
"I love this snow and had really good skis. So I thought I might be able to be in the Top 10. But then I came to the top with Storlien and gave it all in the final sprint", the winner said after the race.
For Ole Martin Storlien it was about keeping up with the French. "I had a good jump and tried to keep up with Lafarge. Shortly before the finish I lost some pace and Lafarge was better today."
Third-placed Kammerlander had to struggle with the mild temperatures. "It was very warm today. Usually you have 5 to 6 degrees, but today it was a lot warmer and that made the race very difficult, although I'm in a very good shape."
